Ipsy Glam Bag | July 2019

Hello dear friends!  OMG this month reeeaaally slipped by and I didn’t post any of all my planned posts 😦  But no fret!  I wasn’t going to let July go by without posting my Ipsy Glam Bag 😀

July’s Glam Bag was inspired by summer, dewy skin, beach-babe waves, and shimmer.  The July bag’s color is coral and aqua banana leaf design and, as always, durable and well made.

So let’s jump in and see what’s in this cool bag…

First is SMASHBOX COSMETICS Always On Liquid Lipstick in Babe Alert.  This liquid lipstick has a built-in primer oil to keep your lips hydrated, conditioned, and soft.  The shade included is called Nude Rose which is exactly the shade I would pick if I were to buy it, and it’s a shade that looks awesome on all skin tones.

Next we have CIATE LONDON Watermelon Burst Hydrating Primer.  Watermelon seems to be the IT fruit recently in all these launches coming up, isn’t it?!  This primer is supposed to hydrate, refresh, and prep your skin for makeup, while boosting your glow.  I have not tried it yet, as I do have a lot of make up primers I am working my way through, but it did feel very soft and smooth on the hand and the little watermelon-infused black beads dissolve into the skin.

It wouldn’t be an Ipsy Glam Bag without our monthly face mask 😀  Seriously, I probably have enough face masks for the rest of the year and maybe next year too LOL!  So this box’s mask is FEEL Mindful Palo Santo Soothing Mask.  This mask is said to be infused with “energy clearing” palo santo essential oil, adaptogenic mushrooms, lavender, and chamomile to help sooth and calm sensitive skin.  Hmmm…sounds interesting.  To use, you would apply a thick layer over clean dry skin, let it sit for 10 minutes, rinse with warm water, and pat dry.

I love me some hand lotion, summer or winter, to keep my hands soft and smelling great.  This one is OSEQUE Ultra Moisturizing Hand Cure in Black Forest of Dreamlike Fantasy – quiet the mouthful but such a soft and beautiful smelling hand lotion.  If you are a fan of Korean skincare products (K-Beauty), you’ll enjoy this one.  It is infused with jojoba seed oil to soften and nourishes dry hands, PLUS it smells like peonies 😀 !!!!

And last but certainly not least is TRUST FUND BEAUTY Nail Polish in Where’s My Money.  No, sadly, this does not smell like roses like the last nail polish did 😦  Actually, although the color is beautiful, I did find it a bit streaky and needed three full coats to get an opaque covering.  I always use a base and top coat when applying polish, and it took some time for it all to dry with three coats of this.  I do like the color – very summery and beachy.  I will give it points for really being chip-resistant in that I’ve had it on for about a week now and it’s only juuuust beginning to have little chipping near the tops – mind you, I type constantly, I’ve cleaned my house last weekend, I’ve washed dishes and it’s still looking pretty good 🙂
