Ipsy Glam Bag | August 2019

Hello Friends!

It’s that time again to see what the Ipsy Fairy brought for August!  As always, I’m really happy with my Ipsy Glam Bag this month, things that I know will definitely use and reach for.  So without further ado let’s see what we got… 😀

As with every Ipsy Glam Bag we have this month’s beautiful bag – forest green with gold zipper hardware.  The bag feels like faux-leather and good quality, and lined on the inside.  Now let’s see what came in this pretty bag.

First up we have HUDA BEAUTY Lip Contour in Trophy Wife.  This pretty shade is universal for all skin tones and can even be used alone as it is quite opaque.  I’ve used Huda Beauty products before and can attest to their long-lasting wear time.  I actually have this color both in a lip pencil and as one of the lip colors, and it’s one of my favorite shades to wear.

Next we have SPACE CASE Eyeshadow in Intense Stargasm.  This silvery-shimmer shade can be used as an all-over eyeshadow on the lids, or just in the inner corners to brighten and highlight.  It swatched pretty nicely, and I wanted to show you how it looked like both in direct sunlight and turned away from it (hope I captured it well!).  Usually my makeup tend to be more on the matte and neutral side, but I think this could be incorporated in it well without looking too shiny or shimmery.

Ok you guys…at this point you KNOW that there will always be face masks in each of my posts.  That’s not to say that you will also get them in your bags if you sign up!  You do get to customize your profile and rate each item in your monthly bag, so that’s why I seem to always get them.  So this month’s sheet masks are COMELYCO Blueberry & Peach Mask Set.  This is a K-Beauty brand that is known for its organic and innovative skincare products.  The masks are made from “100% natural cotton, blueberry and peach infused (and scented) to moisturize, revitalize, and clarify your complexion while delivering healthy nutrients to your skin.”  I’ve already used the blueberry mask, and although I did not notice the scent, it did leave my skin hydrated and feeling refreshed.

Next we have the IT COSMETICS Confidence in a Gel Lotion Moisturizer.  IT Cosmetics usually has products designed to address problem areas and are clinically-tested to be highly-effective and healthy for the skin.  This gel lotion moisturizer is oil-free and made with ceramides and cactus flower extract to smooth skin, prime before makeup, and hydrate for up to 72 hours.

Last but most certainly not least is NAILS INC Nail Polish in Weekend Superpowers.  This makes the 3rd nail polish I’ve received, and I’ve been very happy with the colors and the selection this far.  Nails Inc. is certainly one of those top brands that I’ve seen in Sephora and Ulta, professionally-formulated and vitamin-infused.  This cool, khaki green shade in eye-catching and on-trend, while being super glossy, long-lasting, and easy to apply thanks to the ergonomically designed brush.  In the swatch picture below it is only ONE COAT and it’s pretty opaque!
