Ready for the July Ipsy Glam Bag PLUS?! This month’s box of 5 full sized products was definitely more skincare (3 products) than makeup (2 products). BUT!!! Wait until you see what’s in it 😀
So first up we had the PIXI BY PETRA Glow Mist. I’ve actually gotten this in a box before (not an Ipsy box but another subscription) and I thought it was ok for me. It’s formulated with 13 natural essential oils (i.e. rose flower and lavender), aloe vera, and fruit extracts, and can be used to set your makeup, before makeup, or throughout the day to hydrate, protect, and give you a gorgeous dewy finish. The Glow Mist typically retails for $15.
Next skincare item is the FEEL Balanced Moisture Balancing Cream. So in the regular Glam Bag post you saw that it included the soothing face mask by this brand, so this is the full-sized body cream with cucumber, lime, and elder tree extract so help soothe your skin, reduce inflammation and hydrate for 24 hours. The retail value for this product is $28.
The final skincare item in the box is the PURLISSE Watermelon Energizing Aqua Balm. Back at it again with the watermelon….seriously, I don’t even eat the fruit looool! Anyways, this product is a lightweight balm, packed with vitamins A, C, and E to help hydrate, brighten your complexion, and regenerate your skin cells, as well as aloe vera and cucumber to calm inflammation and reduce redness, and white tea extract to protect your skin cells from damage. You remember how a while ago everything was avocado for it’s antioxidant benefits? Well, watermelon is full of water and hydrating so they might be on to something….right?! I wonder which fruit/veggie will be our next skincare craze?! 😀 This product retails for a cool $45.
Now let’s get to the makeup! The first of two items in this box is the IT COSMETICS Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara in Super Black (no watermelon in this guys 😛 ). I’ve tried a sample size of this before and it was pretty good in giving volume. This no-flake formula is said to be enriched with exclusive Elastic Stretch Technology, with ingredients like biotin and peptides (to strengthen), polymers (to lift), and collagen to build up your lashes from the inside out. It says it’s long-wearing after hours of wear, but does not say waterproof, so not sure if it will run or smudge with sweat…hmmm. This product retails for $24.
I’ve saved the most AMAZING product till last!!!! It is the HUDA BEAUTY 3D Highlighter Palette in Pink Sands!!!!!!! I know this is not a brand new product and has been around a while, but even though I’ve loved seen it, I just couldn’t justify spending the money to get it knowing I don’t typically use highlighter all that often and probably won’t reach for it often enough. But you guys…this is EXACTLY why a sub box like this is awesome because you can get things you’ve always wanted to try but didn’t want to spend the money on!!! There are one cream and three pressed powder pearlescent highlighter shades that can be used as a base (cream – Capri), bronzer (Azores), highlighter (Santorini), and blush (Ibiza). This item retails for $45.
So what did you guys think of the Ipsy Glam Bag PLUS for July?! I was over the moon with just the Huda Beauty Highlighter Palette alone, and the other products were just as good and definitely things I often reach for and use.
