Ulta 20% Off Haul

Hello Friends!

I was planning this post for later but I just an email that Ulta is extending its 20% off sale until SATURDAY JUNE 29!!!  I wanted to share with you what I got from my order from last week and to let you know of this amazing sale to take advantage of!

So for this order I focused more on products that I needed and others that have been on my wishlist, instead of on makeup products (they are still makeup related πŸ˜€ ).  I currently have a huge amount of makeup, but that’s not to say that there won’t be makeup hauls in the future πŸ˜‰

***To check out product description, how to use, price, and reviews, click on the individual product name (not an affiliate link).  To get the code for the 20% off, sign up to their email list (if you’re not already an Ulta Beauty Member) and/or download their phone app.

The first product I ordered was one that has been on my favorite list for some time but never gotten around to getting it.  It is the Hair Density Serum by Grow Gorgeous.  This serum is supposed help you achieve fuller, thicker and healthier hair.  My hair has always been on the thinner side so hoping this thickens it up a bit.

The next product that has also been on my list for some time is the Jasmine + Geranium Polishing Body Scrub by Little Barn Apothecary.  The reason why this has been on my list for a while is that I have a lot of sugar body scrubs (I’ll share my collection in a future post), so I couldn’t really justify purchasing this when I still had so many that I was working through.  I also reeeeally like floral scents so I wanted to try the jasmine and geranium scent of this product.

The next few products are beauty tools that I’ve been meaning to get and/or restock up on.

  • Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge Set – I have a cat who is constantly running away with her mama’s makeup sponge so I’m constantly buying these.  I’ve never used the pink Beauty Blender ($20 for a sponge!  Really?!), but I found that these are amazing and work great.  I’ve also discovered that my foundation goes on much smoother and evenly with a sponge than a brush so I’ve been using these sponges on everything from foundation to BB cream.

  • Ulta Beauty Smarts New Hue Shadow Switching Pan – I try to have enough brushes so I’m able to reach for one to use on different colors.  However, sometimes I may forget or use the same brush on a different day and it might have some residue.  Unlike other pans who are a bit more expensive, I liked that this was more affordable and it has the large black pad to remove dry powders, and the small white sponge in the middle to help switch between cream or wet shadows and liners.  I also have a set of Artis brushes that I’ve never used and I hope I can use this on them to clean them (the Artis pad is available at Sephora and costs A LOT more 😐 ).

  • Ecotools Makeup Brush Cleansing Cloths – So I know I just talked about the switching pan above to clean off my brushes, but this is mainly during makeup application.  What I like to do after finishing up with my makeup is to do a quick clean of my brushes so they are fresh and ready when I need them the next time.  I usually use a spray cleaner with a tissue, but I want to try these to see if they are better.  Also, I could never stand the smell of that spray cleaner (it was from Sephora and its supposed to have a citrus-y smell).

  • Ulta Brush Cleansing Solid Soap – So when I FINALLY get around to actually washing my brushes with soap and water I found that these solid soaps have been much better at cleaning my brushes.  In the past I’ve also used little travel-sized bottles of baby shampoo.  I got a Beauty Blender solid soap sample once and I liked how it cleaned the brushes and how I was able to do the whole process faster than the pour-and-rinse method of the shampoo.  This would be my first time trying the Ulta brand one.

  • Schick Silk Touch-Up Facial Razor – Last but certainly not least are these facial razors to touch up my eyebrows and stay facial hair on the go, or when I do not have time to go do a full-face threading (or do it myself at home).  I’ve tried other razors that were not name brand (or any brand actually) and they were ok.  The reviews on these were very good so I thought I would give them a go – I’ll share my thoughts about how they turned out to be in a future post.

So are you taking advantage of Ulta’s 20% off sale this weekend?  What items are/did you get?  Are you taking this opportunity go restock on supplies and necessities, or are you getting your wishlist items and new releases?  I’d love to hear from you and get some ideas for my next purchases πŸ˜€

Until next time lovelies…XO!
