FabFitFun Box | Summer 2019

What’s more surprising than getting a mystery box full of goodies?!  The Summer 2019 FabFitFun Box is my second box of the year I have received and I have been pleasantly surprised with what I have gotten so far and I’ve been using them nonstop.

So if you’re not familiar with the FabFitFun box, it is a quarterly subscription at $49.99 per quarter for the box (you could also pay annually) with free shipping within the United States.  Each box is valued at over $200 worth of 8-10 full-sized products.  You also get the opportunity to customize your quarterly box, or opt to be surprised when you receive the box.

So let’s dive in and see what’s in the summer box 2019 😀

So each box comes with three categories of products: those that are included in every box, those that are available to all members to customize, and those that are available to SELECT members to customize (I am not a select member) – if you are not a select member they will be randomly chosen for you.  To become a select member you would need to upgrade to an annual membership.  For me personally, I like to be surprised, so I don’t customize any portion of my box and I try to avoid any sneak peak or spoiler posts if I can help it.

The products included in all the summer boxes are:

• Invisibobble Original Due Pack – I’ve always wanted to try these but felt they were overpriced and gimmicky, but I am excited to be giving them a go and seeing if I like them better than my elastic ones.  This product retails for $16.
• Generation Clay Ultra Violet Brightening Purple Clay Mask – You know what I said in my last Ipsy post about face masks?  Yup, there’s another one (and another…just keep reading 😉 ).  Packed with Davidson plum, this mask is supposed to work to rejuvenate dull skin and boost hydration.  This mask retails for $39.
• Grace & Stella Rose Facial Spray – I love a good face spray after cleansing and throughout the day to feel refreshed…and the fact that it’s a rose spray…aaaah ❤  This facial spray retails for $25.95.
• Whish Exfoliating Foot Mask – I whish (haha…get it?!) I have the time to get regular pedicures…mainly for the foot massage honestly, I can paint my own toes.  There’s just something about having baby-soft heals that just feels so luxurious.  This exfoliating foot mask is made of natural ingredients like willow bark extract and pumpkin seed to exfoliate and polish for the softest feet ever.  This product retails for $32.

The next category of products are those that all members can customize or have randomly chosen for them.  I’m not going to list all the possible products because there are quiet a lot of them, but just share what I have received in my box.

• Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream & Brazilian 4 Play Moisturizing Shower Cream-Gel – I’ve tried the Bum Bum cream before from Sephora and I’ve really liked it but never went back to repurchase.  It’s great that I got it in the box because it really puts me in the mind of being in a spa and it’s very moisturizing and hydrating.  I have not tried the shower cream-gel before but it smells just like the Bum Bum cream so I’m excited to use it as my summer shower scent.  The Bum Bum cream is the deluxe sample size and the shower cream-gel is a full sized bottle, together they retail for $45.
• 111Skin Rose Gold Brightening Facial Treatment Mask (Set of 5) – I was flabbergasted when I read the price of this set of face masks, to say the least.  Remember how I said the box is about $50?  Yeah, this set of face masks is more than THREE TIMES the amount of the box 😐 How crazy is that?!  At $160, these 111Skin Rose Gold Brightening Facial Treatment Masks feature 24-karat gold and rosa damascena extract to brighten, soothe, and hydrate your skin.  Right now I’m just so intimidated to even open the pack, so you best be sure I’m gonna be saving them for a VERY special occasion!
• Burn 60 Resistance Bands – When it comes to fitness, I honestly wish it is something I can be consistent with.  Due to my busy work schedule I often find I don’t have time to go to the gym, instead I prefer home DVD workouts or pulling up a YouTube workout video, many of which incorporate resistance bands which I have not had…until now 😀  I like that these come in three different resistance levels to help me work my way up, or to just mix and match depending on the workout.  This set of resistance bands retail for $34.

The third and last category of products are those that select members only can customize, otherwise they are randomly chosen for your box.  My products for this summer box were:

• MYSTERY ITEM – Grown Alchemist Biological Beauty Hand Cream in Vanilla & Orange Peel – I have A LOT of body and hand creams so I wasn’t too excited about this product.  Also, my last box’s full sized body lotion was vanilla and orange scented.  The scent of this hand cream is definitely not as overpowering as the one in the last box.  It certainly reminds me of those summer orange creamcicles on a hot summer day.  The mystery item retailed at $24+ so I don’t know the exact price of this particular hand cream.
• Coola Organic SPF 30 Makeup Setting Sunscreen Spray – I am excited to try this product because in the past I’ve tried a Coola product and wasn’t too happy with it.  However, I love the scent and I like how it feels lightweight as a setting spray.  The SPF is certainly a big plus,too!  This item is available in the United States and Canada only and retails for $36.

Overall, this box’s total value is between $269.95 and $467.95 (depending on your selection), so you definitely get more than your money’s worth of very nicely curated products.  Aside from the hand cream, I am excited about all the other products in this box and I know I will be using them.
