Ipsy Glam Bag | June 2019

Hello Friends!  I’m so excited to be debuting my first Ipsy Glam Bag post!

So if you’re not familiar with the Ipsy Glam Bag, it is a monthly subscription service (you can also do every other month or quarterly subscription) with 5 deluxe sample sized products ranging from make-up, skincare, make-up tools, and lots more.  You get the chance to customize your profile so your samples are geared to what you like and not just random stuff.  The subscription price is $10 USD per month (if you’re doing the monthly plan) and free shipping.  This is a great subscription if you want to try new products or brands that you may not have heard of before or want to try before you buy.

So without further ado…let’s see what was in June’s Glam Bag…

If you have not before seen the Ipsy mailer bag, it is this pretty, shiny, and hot pink envelope that just brightens up your mailbox when you see it in there.

Inside, you will find your monthly bag (one-of-a-kind makeup bag usually exclusive to Ipsy), with some of your products already in it and those that may be too big to fit are in the envelope itself.  This month’s makeup bag is inspired by summer, rainbows, and vibrant hues.  Ipsy also has teamed up with Tetris to create this exclusive month’s makeup bag and makeup collection.  It is a sturdy bag and well made with a good zipper.

The first of our products for this month is BELLAPIERRE COSMETICS Banana Setting Powder.  This semi-transparent powder is made with the safest earth-based ingredients and totally cruelty-free camouflages redness and dark circles and works on all skin tones, from fair to deep.  Just gonna add it to my arsenal of setting powders that I love to use to make sure I set my makeup before heading out for the day.  Ipsy Tip: Use it alone as a low-key highlighter, or over your makeup to set and color correct.

Next we have SUNDAYS Nail Polish in No. 13.  This spicy red shade is formulated with non-toxic, vegan, and cruelty-free ingredients and is super shiny!  Its not mentioned anywhere in the description…but IT SMELLS LIKE FLOWERS!!!  Talk about a new twist to “smell my finger” šŸ˜€  Ipsy Tip: Apply 2 coats of this red polish to your nails in 3 stripes – starting from the left, then right, then center of each nail bed.

Then we have ELIZABETH MOTT All Over Shadow Brush.  I don’t know about you, but I think you can never have too many makeup brushes…especially if you don’t wash them as often as you would like…eek!  This chic brush has a pretty pink handle and super soft and dense bristles that would make applying your shadow a dream.  Ipsy Tip: Dab the brush into your eyeshadow pan and pack color onto your lids.

Next is this month’s makeup collaboration TETRIS x ipsy Lipgloss in Matrix.  This limited edition silver-pearl lip topper can be worn alone or over your fave lip colors.  Ipsy Tip: Start with a hydrating lip balm.  Swipe on your gloss alone for a subtle glaze, or layer it on over lip colors for an ultra-shimmery, chromatic look.

And last but certainly not least is I DEW CARE Space Kitten Exfoliating Galactic Black Peel-Off Mask.  I have noticed that almost all of my subscription boxes have some type of face mask…sheet, gel, or peel-off.  I love using peel-off masks in my T-Zone to unclog all those pores that can make or break your makeup look.  This black glitter mask is made with charcoal to absorb excess sebum, and topaz powder to help brighten and exfoliate.  Ipsy Tip: Use once a week.  Apply evenly to your T-Zone.  Leave it on for 20-30 minutes.  Then, peel off from the edges and rinse away excess product.
